Dear Bronco Families,
My name is Paola Salinas, and I am incredibly grateful to be your school counselor this year. As a former Bronco myself, I could not be more excited to serve our community. I have been a part of McAllen ISD for 7 years. I have taught at the elementary level for four years and served as a Counselor for three years. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with your children at Roosevelt this school year!
As the School Counselor at Theodore Roosevelt Elementary, I will ensure to promote social emotional learning (self awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, and social skills) at our campus through guidance lessons, group sessions, and individual counseling. Our Broncos know they can reach their counselor by using their QR code Counseling Self-Referral. At Roosevelt, we work closely together to ensure we meet the academic, social, and emotional needs of our students. Therefore, all staff members are able to refer a student to see their counselor through our Staff QR code Counseling Referral. We know that by working together, our Broncos will reach their full potential.
